Sips of Ink
A new website for a bookstore & coffeeshop
Project Overview
Who doesn’t love a good book and a tasty beverage to go along with it? Sips of Ink is a space meant for the coffee and book lovers. Not only can you step in and grab a warm cup of brew (or a refreshing selection of non-caffeinated items, if that’s more your style), but you can also grab a book from the shop’s selection, or swap one of the shop’s books with one of your own.
Welcoming, Inspiring and charming. These were the words that served as the north star throughout the process. The intention of the site was to embrace the visitor with welcome arms (as any shop of such a nature likely would), while maintaining a level of uniqueness that would set the space apart.

Branding
The colors for this site for the most part follow the common trends for coffee shops and some bookstores. Shades of brown, burgundy, green, and yellow were used in order to evoke the welcoming, inspiring and charming vibes that were intended. After playing around with a few options, the following was the end result.
